GENERAL
The question of whether area repeaters are better than artillery shell fireworks is subjective and ultimately depends on personal preference and the specific occasion.
Area repeaters, also known as cakes or repeaters, are multi-shot devices that can produce a variety of effects and patterns, and are typically used for creating large and dynamic displays. They are easy to set up and provide a sustained and continuous display of fireworks.
Artillery shell fireworks, on the other hand, are single-shot devices that shoot individual shells into the air, creating a large and intense burst of color and noise. These fireworks are often used as a standalone feature in a show or as a part of a finale.
At ELITE FIREWORKS®, we understand that adding excitement and variety to a fireworks display is key. Whether you prefer the sustained and continuous display of area repeaters or the large and intense burst of color and noise from artillery shells, we have you covered. The choice between the two will depend on your personal preference and the occasion, but our wide range of area repeaters and artillery shells will meet all your fireworks needs. Shop now and take your fireworks display to the next level!
Aerial cake fireworks feature a series of multi-shot effects, set off one after the other from a single ignition. As mentioned before, you only need to light it once for the firework display to begin. Whenever using multi-shot aerial repeaters, it is important to always read and follow the safety labels of the product. Always light aerial cakes outside in an open space away from structures and others. Make sure you are wearing the proper safety gear such as gloves and goggles. Light at arm’s length with a punk or extended lighting device; keep your arm extended away from the aerial cake firework and get clear of it quickly.
There are many other safety measures that you need to get familiar with before using any type of fireworks. You can find them all at the Official CPSC.gov site!
An aerial cake is a firework comprising a series of tubes, small aerial shells, or a combination of both, connected together by a high-speed fuse. Typically, the internal fusing is set to fire each tube in series, to fire several tubes at the same time or a combination of both. Typically a cake will resemble from the outside a simple cube or other rectangular covered shape. In a traditional cake, all the tubes point upwards; a variant is called a fan or angle fireworks cake.
There are six different types of aerial cakes: Standard, Large, X-tra Large, Alloy, NOAB, and Zipper Cakes.
There are many similarities as they are all multi-shot aerial repeaters but there are many ways they differentiated from one another. Standard Cakes tend to be up to 200 grams in powder and the smallest in packaging size. Don't be fooled by their size as they really pack a punch! Large Cakes tend to be a mix of up to 350 and 500 grams in powder, in this collection you tend to find some amazing hidden gems. X-tra Large Cakes™ tend to have the maximum legal charge of up to 500 grams with most of them featuring multi-level spread effects. Alloy Cakes™ are a mix of X-tra Large™ and NOAB Cakes. So what is a NOAB? This type of cake is the closest to the pro-level fireworks with only a few shots, but they tend to be massive in size. The final type is Zipper Cakes which consists of lots of shots that Zip around to create a unique fast-past shower effect
